When only the wrong get callbacks
Krugman has an insightful piece about the state of America's ability to problem solve. For many of the major crises facing the country - the Iraq War, the financial crisis - those we ask for solutions are the very same ones who got us into the mess.

Radar Magazine online has an interesting look at eight political pundits, four who favored the Iraq War and four who opposed it, and where they are now. The conclusion? That there's not much of a meritocracy in the pundit world - in fact, being wrong can make you very rich.

Media Matters has another example of a pundit being an asshole to get attention, this time regarding the newly-elected US Representative Keith Ellison (D-MN). How long until Mr. Beck is found paying a gay Muslim for sex?
